The Oracle AS is going to be dumped down the road in favor of the BEA WebLogic Server but supported as planned.

BPM

BEA AquaLogic BPM is going to be shredded across the Oracle BPM Suite, which has both user-centric (Oracle BPM) and system-centric (Oracle BPEL Process Manager) products.

Development Tools

Neither Oracle JDeveloper or BEA Workshop is going to be dumped.

EDA

The BEA WebLogic Event Server is going to be renamed to Oracle CEP.

Portals

Neither Oracle Portal or the BEA WebLogic Portal Server is going to be dumped.

SOA

The BEA AquaLogic Service Bus is going to be renamed to Oracle Service Bus. BEA SmartConnect is going to be merged with the JCA adapters in the Oracle SOA Suite. I’d guess that the Oracle ESB is going to be dumped down the road in favor of the Oracle Service Bus but supported as planned.

The BEA WebLogic Integration Server is going to be shredded across the Oracle SOA Suite over time.

The BEA deal with Amberpoint is going to be dumped in favor of the Oracle Web Services Manager.

MuleSoft To Break Down Barriers To Open Banking

Banking software provider Temenos has teamed up with Mulesoft, a platform provider for building application networks. The move is intended to break down barriers to the open banking initiative by facilitating API connections, reports Julie Muhn at Finovate (Banking Technology’s sister publication). As a part of the partnership, Temenos will develop a core banking adaptor for MuleSoft’s AnyPoint platform, a system that helps companies connect applications, data and devices into a network that allows for reuse and self-service.
